Fishing Holidays

Fishing Holidays

If you are planning a break with a difference, a relaxation escape you enjoy in lush tropical surroundings doing, what you love doing, but don’t normally get time for, then search no further than on our website for the perfect activity, adventure or relaxation holiday for you. There are so many different things on offer ranging from snorkelling and meditation to painting, history and sport. If you thought the biggest participants’ sport in Great Britain is football – think again. Fishing is by far the most popular sporting past time for many Britons. So, if you are a keen angler and want to enjoy your hobby on holiday – look here for your fishing holiday of a lifetime.

There are some amazing places to spend your fishing holiday in, ranging from the USA and the increasingly popular Mexico to Australia and Africa as well as Northern Europe. The destinations on offer are carefully researched locations for the availability of certain species of fish, coral reefs and either natural or manmade wrecks sporting an amazing diversity of marine life. One of the most famous fishing holiday destinations is Key West, the last key in the Florida Keys, which is an angler’s paradise. You can follow in Hemmingway’s footsteps, whilst also explore the culture of this brilliantly colourful location.

If you want the ease of just relaxing and fishing, you can leave all the organising to others and book a complete package, which includes your flights, accommodation, your fishing tackle and equipment as well as your days fishing. On the other hand you might prefer to do it all yourself, giving you the freedom to choose your dates, stay in your favourite apartments or hotels, and book your fishing locally. This way you can make friends and maybe book with the same captain again next year. It is also a lovely way to explore the locality and different types of fishing. You could try wreck fishing, shallow water fishing (there are some awesome sharks in the warm shallow waters) and even night fishing all on one holiday – all you have to do is go down to the local marina and negotiate with the captain of your choice, who will be more than happy to oblige.

And, if you want to have a break from chasing marlin, sailfish, barracuda or sharks, why not combine your fishing holiday with snorkelling and diving. Most fishing locations are also brilliant for underwater exploration, as especially wrecks and coral reefs will enchant you with the variety of colours and marine life.

And in the evening, all you need to do is take your drink your down the beach and watch a wonderful tropical sunset. Of course, you might not want to venture that far – there are different types of fishing in many locations in the UK available too. Whether you are into course fishing, want to hook that monster carp, fly fishing or sea fishing – it’s all to be had virtually on your door step. Wherever you decide to fish over here in the UK or overseas in the tropics, make sure you have your sea legs.

Whether you fancy trying your hand at fly fishing for salmon on the Tay, wild trout fishing in Wales, big game and sport fishing in Mauritius or coarse fishing in France this is the place to look for that somewhere special.

We have wild and natural hideaway places in log cabins on hundreds of lakes and reservoirs, luxurious hotels by peaceful rivers and fishing boats to get you into really deep water!

If you are a fisherman out for pleasure angling, a match angler or a specimen hunter you will find some great places here to holiday.
