Massage Chairs
The words 'Bridge player' and 'charging around' don't usually occur in the same sentence, so in Verona I witnessed a phenomena! The occasion - the World Bridge Championships where the great and the good (well excellent actually) from all around the world, including Bill Gates, had gathered to outbid and outcard each other. Usually, when an international bridge session is in recess, there is a nonchalant drift to deli-counters and comfort stations or out for fresh air, but this time there was running, scrambling, overtaking on escalators, stairs taken several at a time! Bizarre!
I was jostled towards a cordoned, discretely dimmed, corner of the lower hall, to join a queue (well almost - some were French!) for - you've guessed it - the Massage Chairs. The luxurious chairs, all sized, coloured and shaped slightly differently, with varying pre-set or bespoke features, had been arranged in a semi-circle around a screen. On this was projected images of vibrant forests, waterfalls, sunshine through leaves all accompanied by sounds of new world music, cicadas and bird song. The occupants - resembling a group counselling session on one of those delightful economy spa breaks, could not have looked more ecstatic! All eyes were closed and there were sighs of comfort as healing herbs and essential oils permeated the de-stress atmosphere. Candles flickered, timers were primed, participants were encouraged to relax with a drink - iced water - to aid their detox-inducing body massage. Guys, now calm and comfortable, in loose relaxation clothing, and sexy, brown legged women in short sunfrocks, made up batch after batch of 'formerly stressed' card players - all now simmering in serenity. It looked SO very good - I had to try it - again and again and again! Why have a Massage chair? Believe me it really is a brilliant experience a 'must have' purchase! You can enjoy your chair and share it almost anywhere - in the office, privately in almost any room of your home home. Ownership of a massage chair is personal stress management - you don't have to dress up or dress down, or wear sports clothing, enjoy it 'as you are'! Time spent in a massage chair - however brief, is an oasis in the desert of the working day - you can make it as sensuous or as 'matter of fact' as you like. It will give you hours and hours of comforting pleasure!
Things to consider when buying a massage chair
To attain maximum enjoyment, there are a number of things to seriously consider, when you are planning your purchase, so copy this and take it with you!
- Check the size of the chair carefully and make sure that you have a big enough space for it to function fully.
- Will you want to move it - if so, how heavy is it ?
- Will you have sufficient space, where you are intending to site it, to enable it to recline ?
- Try it for at least 15 minutes to make sure that above all it fits your body! If you are tiny or very tall, be certain that the massage features are where they should be, so that they will work properly on your body!
- If you have a part of your body that regularly needs massage attention, ensure that the chair you choose can work really well on this area for you.
- Make sure that the pressure of the massage is pitched at what you need and like it to be. If it isn't, check that it is adjustable.
- Does it have leg massagers and leg rests?
- If more than one person is going to use the chair, does it have the ability to store a number of massages sequences - this is so that it doesn't need to be manually re-programmed each time it is used.
- A massage chair is a luxurious and sometimes medically recommended purchase. Very carefully chosen, it should give you (and possibly others), years of pleasure! It is not necessarily important to go for the most expensive chair as that may have features installed that you will never use. Choose the right one for you at a price that you can afford - and ENJOY!
