Retreat Centres
Taking yourself away to a retreat centre may sound a bit extreme to those of us who always like to be surrounded by activity, noise and pressure. But when you are stressed out with a problem, want a quiet place to do some creative work, or need to find a seminar space for group work - a retreat centre is the perfect place to inspire you!
If you're not really sure what a retreat centre can offer, take a quick look at my personal favourite seminar retreat - Parcevall Hall near Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. http://www.parcevallhallgardens.co.uk/?Gallery It does happen to have a chapel if you go looking for it, and it's church owned - but don't let that put you off, it also has a bar to relax with a drink and there are pubs in the locality. The setting, welcome, architecture, ambience, amazing food, brilliant atmosphere, candles, crisp sheets, log fires - I could go on! The views are simply stunning - and you can pull on your walking boots and stride into your own canvas from the door! Tranquility from start to end - well almost - unfortunately the odd trainee fighter pilot also has this valley in his log!
