Special Interest Holidays When we can, perhaps, enjoy the privilege of a holiday only once a year, we’d like to make it worthwhile and as close to perfect, as is possible. Some people love being on the beach or sunbathing by the swimming pool, others prefer shopping or clubbing. Friends you have might go for the pampering relaxation kind of a break and others still are after high octane adrenalin thrills like mountain biking, climbing or white water rafting. Any different ability level can be catered for from novice, to intermediate, wanting to refine skills and professional, so it’s easy, if you want to take the whole family or go with a group of friends, who are all differently able, and enjoy your holiday, your activity and the people you are with. Accommodation too is very versatile and most things can be catered for. You have the choice of a vast spectrum of accommodation including location and level of comfort and luxury – all you have to do is decide, whether you want to spend your special holiday in a villa or self catering. You might even want to sample some more unusual types of accommodation – tipis in Wales, tree houses, yurts, eco cabins or Bedouin camps. Some holiday companies specialise in unusual types of accommodation to add a bit spice and adventure to your already special special interest holiday. So, whatever your special interest, be it in the arts or history or music or travelling itself, the world is your oyster, when it comes to choice. The great thing about a special interest holiday is, that it has authenticity as you are able to immerse yourself in the different cultures you encounter, when pursuing your special interest. Hire a camel and live as a Bedouin for a fortnight, find a rain forest and experience life in the canopy for a month!
