Waterskiing & Jet skiing

Waterskiing and Jetskiing Holidays

Water sports are a great way to spend your activity holiday and there are so many to choose from – kayaking, white water rafting, sailing – anything you want to do, it’s there for you. So whether you are after a sedate relaxation escape on a narrow boat, or whether you like the sun on your skin and the wind in your hair, whilst enjoying the thrills and the adrenalin of speed on a power boat, you are bound to find, what you are looking for. Just take a look at our website and search for the adventure holiday of your lifetime.

Waterskiing has been around for a long time, and jetskiing too is a very popular activity for those holidaymakers, who want a bit of speed combined with having to show off their skills in handling the waves. Waterskiing can be enjoyed by anyone, whether you’re looking for a solo or singles holiday, or you want to go with your friends. And why not take the kids (as long as they are over 1.20m tall). Waterskiing is an exhilarating experience, which can be learnt relatively quickly. Some companies offer free tuition inclusive in their holiday packages. Most packages include a number of sessions for the day or the duration of the holiday – alternatively you can always pay per tow individually, whatever suits you best, really. What is guaranteed is tuition by professionals, high quality and well maintained equipment, whether you prefer 2 skis or a mono-ski, and top class resorts and facilities, which will let you relax as well as water-ski.

With waterskiing at the luxury end of the activity holiday market, jetskiing has seen a huge rise in popularity over the decades, though unfortunately it has also suffered from bad reputation as a result of a minority of holiday makers’ behaviour, and some resorts have banned them. However, it still is a great way to enjoy the warmer waters on your holiday. You can often book them, too as part of your holiday package. So, why not take off from the front door of your apartment and go for a spin – alternatively you could use your jet ski to tow someone on their water-skis, as the newer models make deep water starts much easier.

Wakeboarding is the latest popular sport - of being towed behind a boat. It takes determination to learn it, but is huge fun. Wakeboarding is usually being offered by waterskiing centres, and you might well consider giving it a go. Whichever of these waters ports you decide to enjoy on your well earned relaxation break, you are bound to head for great weather, warm waters and beautiful, exotic locations with an all year round outdoors lifestyle. So, get your holiday booked, learn to water-ski or zoom around on your jet ski under the blue skies in turquoise seas. At the end of the day, you can go for some pampering in your resort, perhaps a massage to relax those muscles after a good workout on the skis, or a detoxifying sauna. Add the BBQ and a relaxing drink...

If you are well into adventure sports, water skiing and jet skiing are a must!

Jet skiing has become one of the most popular water sports in recent years.  It’s a lot like flying over the water on a motor bike and is a great way to explore coves and to find hideaway places to picnic or sunbathe.

Water skiing can take rather longer to become proficient!  I say ‘can’ because – I tried for a week and never managed to stay upright – my son aged 11 tried for the first time and skied around the bay!  It’s all about fitness and balance and confidence – but it IS totally exhilarating!   When you have mastered the initial skills you can try ski jumping, trick skiing and slalom.  Try one of these holidays – the water sports are sensational and there’ll be lots of fun people to share great times with!
